President's Message

My name is Sergio Leuzzi, and it is my great honor to serve as the President of the Canadian Italian Business Professional Association of Hamilton/Halton (CIBPA HH). For more than 74 years, CIBPA nationally has risen to meet the opportunities within our Canadian Italian communities which we support. It's the strength of our communities that has been essential to our success and longevity. Our membership brings together a broad range of entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals with the goal of connecting people, nurturing relationships, and providing a network for collaboration and the exchange of ideas while promoting the cultural & social interests of our members. I am deeply honored and privileged to lead this organization for the 2024-2025 year. I look forward to these next 2 years filled with new ideas, continued commitment of our Canadian-Italian businesses, professionals, cultural organizations and a willingness to welcome any and all challenges that this year may bring. I am so humbled and grateful for this year's board and I am excited that they have chosen to donate their talents and time to ensure that this organization continues to exceed expectations.

This presidency means so much to me as I have been with this Association since conception 14 years ago. I have experienced so much and seen this Association go through many changes and challenges. But with pride I can say we remain relative and strive to be the pre-eminent Canadian-Italian business and professional network in the Hamilton-Halton Region!

I am sure that this will be a very productive 2 year term. I am ready to get started on our work to have more new and innovative events, that will increase our membership and showcase our diversity. This board's composition will highlight all aspects of the Canadian-Italian business and professional community and illustrate that we build on and develop and inspire our next generation. My hope is to continue this organization's commitment to mentorship and continually grow and reflect diversity in industry, profession, age, gender by asking you to join me to foster business and professional development that respects our culture .

This Association is such an important part of our identity, an association that forges friendships and mentors relationships. It is my hope that we continue to create opportunities that allow businesses and professionals to build a space of their own. I hope that you will join me in ensuring that this organization continues to grow and preserve.
