Goals and Objectives

The Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association (CIBPA) has been in existence since 1952, as a non-profit membership association that best represents the business and professional interests of Canadian-Italians in the Hamilton-Halton area.

Our mandate is to promote and cultivate the business and professional interests of our members, and to be the recognized as an advocacy group in matters of interest of the Canadian Italian Business community at large. We will continue to strive to be the pre-eminent forum for the exchange of ideas and viewpoints, and are focused on the development of business and professional contacts for our members.

Our membership is comprised of a broad spectrum of prominent Canadian Italian leaders in the business and professional community, including business owners, entrepreneurs, senior partners, executives, and designated professionals, as well as students.

We provide support to our members through various programs including networking/dinner meetings, special events and functions, support an education fund, and assist with promotional opportunities.

The CIBPA continually builds on its rich traditions, from our heritage and culture, working closely with a wide variety of other Italian community-based organizations, to foster business and professional opportunities for our members. We do this by forming strategic alliances and producing joint ventures with other membership associations.

Among its many partnership initiatives over the years, the CIBPA HH is a member National Federation of CIBPAs, which has since grown to include CIBPA chapters in Hamilton, London, Montreal, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, Windsor and Winnipeg.

Our vision for the future is to continue to build on our mentorship program, be recognized as a leading business association, and expand our resources to make available to members.
